February 2019 Honduras Medical Mission Team forming now! Regan Yoder will host an informational/ orientation meeting  on Sunday, November 11, from 12:00-1:00 PM in Rooms 201/202 regarding a Healthy Ninos Honduras medical mission trip in February 2019. All are invited to attend to learn about the trip.  CMF has been working with HNH and MAMA for many years. If considering a mission trip or if you feel called, join us for information. Feel free to bring a bag lunch.

 

An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held at CMF Monday, November 12, from 1:00-6:00 PM. Please consider giving the gift of life. With the many recent natural disasters, the blood bank is in need of donors. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org.

 

The Milton Ministerium will host their annual Thanksgiving Praise and Worship Night at First Baptist Church, 316 Golf Course Rd, Milton, on Sunday, November 18. Contact First Baptist for more information at 570-742-9125.

 

Join us for a night of CHRISTMAS CAROLING on Friday, December 7, from 6:30-8:30 PM. We will visit some of our CMF “shut-ins” and others in the Milton community, dressed in authentic Victorian attire. Capes and hats will be provided by Joy Mertz and Jenica Blackstone. If you can help us sing, please sign up at the Welcome Desk in the lobby. Our evening will wrap up at CMF with hot chocolate and Christmas cookies!  Please bring 1-2 dozen of cookies to share with everyone!

 

HYGIENE KITS are needed! Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is in desperate need for more hygiene kits. These kits are for children and families who are fleeing their homes due to disaster or war. They will be distributed to encourage healthy personal hygiene habits and reduce the likelihood of illness while confined to living in a refugee camp.

Please take 1 (or more) drawstring bags in the lobby and fill with the following contents ONLY.  All contents must be NEW items, and in their original packaging.  Please limit your generosity ONLY to the items listed.

  • 1 adult-size toothbrush
  • 1 large bar bath soap
  • 1 fingernail clipper (good quality)
  • 1 hand towel (dark color)

Note:  Due to some countries’ strict regulations, MCC can no longer accept toothpaste donations for the kits.

Bring your FILLED bags to CMF and place in designated container in the lobby no later than Sunday, December 16.

 

SCHOOL KITS are needed! Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is collecting school kits for children in need around the world.  Notebooks and pencils are treasures for families who struggle to afford basic school supplies. School kits often are requested after disasters and help bring normalcy to children whose families have been forced to flee their homes.

Please take 1 (or more) drawstring bags from the table in the lobby and fill with the following contents ONLY.  All items must be NEW and in their original packaging.  Please limit your generosity ONLY to the items listed.

  • 4 spiral or perforated notebooks (8 1⁄2 x 10 1⁄2 in with   70 sheets)
  • 8 unsharpened #2 pencils
  • 1 ruler (flat, flexible plastic; indicating BOTH 30 cm and 12 inches)
  • 12 colored pencils (in packaging)
  • 1 large pencil eraser

Bring your FILLED bags to CMF and place in designated container in the lobby no later than Sunday, December 16.
