Community Mennonite Fellowship (CMF) is a congregation that desires to become faithful followers of Jesus Christ.  We seek to reach people with the love of God and minister to persons of all ages within our congregation and to those in our surrounding communities.  The following ministries attempt to address our congregation’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs with genuine faith and Christ-like care and compassion.

Adult Ministries: This ministry seeks to develop Christ-centered communities that provide life-changing opportunities for spiritual growth, faith sharing and service for adults of all ages.  Adult Sunday school on Sunday mornings and small groups throughout the week, provide opportunities for adults to socialize, study, grow and learn together.   Men’s and Women’s ministries provide additional opportunities for spiritual growth, nurture and discipleship through regular Bible studies, prayer meetings, retreats and other special events throughout the year.

Children’s Ministries: This ministry seeks to reach children with the love of God and teach them His ways, growing them into faithful followers of Jesus Christ.  We provide opportunities for children to learn about God in a safe and fun environment.  We believe the most effective way to impact the lives of children is through caring relationships with loving adults.  Nursery is provided for our infants and toddlers up to age 2 and Sunday school is provided for all children, ages 3-5th grade.  Additional learning opportunities for children include Children’s Church, Venture Club, Vacation Bible School and a variety of other programs throughout the year.

Youth Ministries: This ministry exists to help students, grades 6-12, embrace and pursue Christ during every season of their lives.  The Youth Ministry focuses on teaching five essential elements to acquire genuine faith and authentic Christian living:  Prayer, Scripture, Missional Living, Community and Multiply.  The Youth Pastor and a team of volunteer leaders give oversight to a variety of ministries and programs throughout the year to ensure the youth are given opportunities to grow, learn and develop into the persons God has created them to be.

Fellowship Ministries: This ministry provides opportunities for the congregation to have times of fellowship, relationship building and recreation throughout the year.   Some of the activities include monthly fellowship meals, a chicken BBQ, a Pig Roast and an annual church retreat. The Fellowship ministry also provides funeral meals for all CMF members and regular attendees.

Pastoral Care Ministries: This ministry seeks to meet the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of people in the congregation during good times and bad, and through times of personal rejoicing and mourning.  Pastoral Care ministries provide opportunities for prayer, hospital and nursing home visitation and ministry to those who are shut-in.  or going through difficult personal experiences.  Meals are also provided for those who are going through difficult personal experiences such as a recent hospitalization, an illness or the birth of a baby.

Missions and Outreach Ministries: This ministry seeks to support global missions and local outreach projects, programs and individuals serving in the community through good words and good works.  This ministry provides opportunities for people to be involved in local outreaches in the Milton community through the bi-monthly Jubilee Days of Caring and our Fall Faith in Action emphasis.  We also support and encourage individuals to participate in mission trips, projects and other short or long-term mission endeavors through EMM and other mission organizations.

Worship Ministries: This ministry seeks to foster an environment where people can be drawn into God’s presence and experience spiritual growth in Christ and transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Worship teams lead the congregation in a contemporary style of worship every Sunday morning.  Special worship and prayer services are offered during the Advent and Lenten seasons.  Other worship opportunities include special music, drama, creative worship dance and choreography through the Worship in Motion team, a children’s bell choir and an adult choir.  Ushers, sound technicians and other specialized volunteer positions faithfully work behind the scenes to keep the worship ministries running smoothly.
